Work Experience at the Royal Opera House

At the beginning of September 2019, I had two weeks work experience at the Royal Opera House in the Ladies Workroom as they prepped for the opera Death in Venice. During my time here I learnt a lot of the skills necessary for my minor project (in which I made a ballet costume), as they taught me how to make a quarter-scale ballet bodice. I spent most of my time making this bodice, but also ironed fabric, made pleats for petticoat frills, and basted some trimming onto a blouse ready for a fitting (the final bodice can be seen on stage!).
